About Paul Edgerley, DDS
Dr. Paul was born and raised in the Creve Coeur/Chesterfield area and went to Parkway North High School. He attended Truman State University, where he earned a degree in Biology/Pre-Dentistry, played rugby, and met his wife, Tricia. After graduating from Truman State, he began his dental school career at UMKC-School of Dentistry, where he spent his next four years. After graduating from dental school in 2014, Dr. Paul continued his education at a general practice residency with a focus on trauma, hospital, surgical, and operating room dentistry. Here he developed a love for complex dentistry and decided to pursue training as a specialist. He earned his MDS degree and specialty certification as a prosthodontist at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center after completing a three-year residency with a focus on implants, cosmetic full mouth rehabilitation, management of jaw disorders, and removable denture prosthodontics. He served as Chief Resident his final year and taught part-time at the dental school clinic, supervising removable denture and crown procedures. Dr. Paul is also an adjunct faculty in prosthodontics at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Peoria, Illinois, and lectures on removable implant over-dentures, TMD diagnosis/ management, and esthetic driven treatment planning. Dr. Paul first became interested in dentistry when he was young after spending a lot of time around dentists, often in the dental chair himself. He loved that dentistry offered a means of incorporating his love of art and science while allowing him to form long-lasting relationships with patients. Dr. Paul states that his goal as a dentist is to provide comfortable and high-quality care to patients, treating each person as if they are family. Although he specializes in prosthodontics, he will also be available to provide routine and complex general dental services. After completing his long journey of dental training in July of 2018, Dr. Paul and his wife Tricia decided to move back near family and lay down roots in the St. Louis area where he grew up. Outside of dentistry, his hobbies include exercising, reading, enjoying local food hotspots with friends and family, and of course, spending as much time as possible with his wife and son, Paul Taylor, who they recently welcomed in July of 2018.
