About Najwa Y. Shaja, DDS
Dr. Shaja has a passion for dental health and always strives to offer the best quality of care to all her patients. Dr. Shaja has been privileged to offer her expert advice on many advanced cosmetic and general dentistry techniques and continues to mentor her staff on the latest dental care products and procedures. A bad childhood experience with her own dentist sparked a hight interest for Dr. Shaja to pursue dentistry. She didn’t feel her family dentist was passionate enough about offering dental care for her family. She strongly believed that a family dentist should care about the overall dental care and be professional at all times. Dr. Shaja went on to enroll in the University of Baghdad dentistry school and graduated with honors at the age of 23. She was ranked as one of the top ten graduates from the dentistry department in her class. She also served as a clinical instructor and went on to open up her practice. In 1995, Dr. Shaja moved to the U.S. and attended Loma Linda University Medical Center in California. She was able to advance her education and obtain her dentistry license to practice in the U.S. She currently manages two Caring Dentistry offices located in Sterling Heights, MI and Oak Park, MI. Dr. Shaja is happily married to Salam Shaja and is a mother of two boys, Sinan Shaja and Samer Shaja. She enjoys traveling and walking her dog Peshe.
