About Moses Shin, DMD
Dr. Moses Shin completed his undergraduate degree in engineering at Sung-Kyun-Kwan University in Seoul, South Korea. He worked as a researcher with Samsung Electronics for two years before coming to the US in 2001 to pursue a master’s degree at the University of Southern California. Dr. Shin moved to Ann Arbor in 2003 and enrolled in the Ph.D program in mechanical engineering at the University of Michigan. In his second year in the program, however, he decided to switch to dentistry because he realized how much he loves helping people. He attended Tufts School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA and graduated with a DMD degree. Dr. Shin lives in Ann Arbor with his wife, Dr. Grace Yang, who is a postdoctoral researcher in the psychology department at the University of Michigan, and their seven-year-old daughter, Lily. He is very good at classical singing and also plays several instruments. He loves and enjoys playing golf even in the cold weather as long as there is no snow on the green. Dr. Shin has a steady hand and performs every aspect of dentistry including complicated procedures such as molar root canal therapy. He is also skilled at cosmetic dentistry procedures like veneer treatments aimed at improving patients’ smiles. Armed with knowledge, confidence, compassion, and experience, he looks forward to seeing his patients every day.
