About Michelle Messina, DDS
Dr. Michelle Messina is originally from the Golden State and spent her childhood all over the world before making Houston her home. During her senior year of high school in Sugar Land (Clements HS, the same school as Dr. Sista!), Dr. Messina visited Texas A&M University, and it was love at first sight. She went on to spend four exciting years in College Station playing tennis for A&M’s club team and graduating magna cum laude with degrees in biochemistry and music. With a passion for helping others and a lifelong interest in the artistic side of science, Dr. Messina found dentistry a natural fit and was accepted at 21 years old to the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston. In 2014, Dr. Messina earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and spent the next four years honing her general dentistry skills to better address her patients’ cosmetic, pediatric, orthodontic, and family dental needs. Dr. Messina joined the Dentiq team in June 2018 and has been making our patient family smile ever since. She is committed to providing consistently high-quality care and continues to better herself with advanced education in upper-level Invisalign and bracketed orthodontics, improved cosmetic treatments, and pediatric dental innovations so that her patients receive the very best care available. In addition to her local and state involvements in organized dentistry, Dr. Messina is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and of the American Orthodontic Society. Dentiq patients often comment on Dr. Messina’s caring, capable demeanor and say her genuine compassion makes them feel safe in her hands. When she isn’t creating beautiful, healthy smiles for her patients, Dr. Messina loves to spend time with her wonderful husband, Michael, and their mini-dachshund, Lilly. The Messina’s love to cook (and eat!) good food, stay fit, and plan adventures with friends and family. The first-born of three daughters, Dr. Messina adores her sisters and parents and says it is because of their love and support over the years that she is living her dream of helping others today.
