About Michele Salonia, DMD
I feel truly blessed to have my “dream job” for the past 35 years. I appreciate being in a profession where I can make a difference in the lives of my patients every day, where I can help someone feel better about their smile and about themselves, where I can help improve someone’s overall health, and where I can help my patients feel cared about. I appreciate the trust that my patients have for me. I love working with my team, who are like my family after all these years. Together, our wish is to be able to help all of our patients have a beautiful, healthy smile that will last a lifetime. I was born and raised in Middletown, and knew since high school that I wanted to be a dentist. I always wanted to be able to help people overcome their fears and concerns and to treat them with gentleness and kindness. I am a 1975 graduate of St. Lawrence University, where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. In 1979, I graduated from the University Of Connecticut School Of Dental Medicine with my Doctorate of Dental Medicine. I feel that it is crucial in this rapidly changing field to keep up with the latest information and techniques in general and cosmetic dentistry for the benefit of my patients. I have taken advanced training in TMJ, dental implants, and cosmetic dentistry at the L.D. Pankey Institute and Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. I am also very proud to be a founding member of the Southern New England Pankey Study Club, which is a small group of like-minded dentists who meet monthly to discuss advanced dental cases and the latest in science and technology. There is nothing that I learned in dental school that has remained the same today. The exciting thing about the dental field is that it is always evolving, with new information about materials and techniques. It is more fun and exciting every year and I love to use my new knowledge for the benefit of my patients.
