About Michael B. Salin, DMD
Dr. Salin has authored a variety of articles and case studies, and he was a contributing author to the most popular oral and maxillofacial trauma textbook. He has presented both locally and nationally on topics of dental implant therapy, maxillofacial trauma, cleft lip and palate surgery, and distraction osteogenesis. He has a special interest in implant dentistry, specifically cosmetic implant makeovers to improve your smile. He’s also an expert and educator in the field of full mouth implant reconstruction with immediate tooth replacement. Dr. Salin lives in Lower Gwynedd with his wife Donna, an endodontist, and his two daughters. When not in the office, look for Dr. Salin on a snowy mountain in the Rocky Mountains where he has a passion for skiing with his family and friends. I became interested in rebuilding lost tissue and placing dental implants when I was exposed to oral and maxillofacial surgery in dental school. Through modern reconstruction techniques, I’m able to rebuild the jaws, teeth and facial bones — a truly inspiring idea that allows me to change the lives of patients who have suffered for years. Specifically, I enjoy working with young people and try to change their perception of dentistry. While most children hate the dentist, I love the look on their face after I complete a procedure and they ask when I’m going to start.
