About Mark J. Landau, DDS
I have a great love and passion for what I am allowed to do everyday and that is dentistry. My satisfaction regardless of the complexity of the procedure that I am performing is the personal connection that I am able to establish with my patients. This stems first and foremost from my caring about them as a person and the trust that they have instilled in me to treat them with respect, integrity and with the level of skill and experience that is unsurpassed and which gives them a profound sense of confidence. I am allowed to do something everyday that makes someone healthier and that can literally change how they feel about themselves and change the way that the world perceives them on a daily basis. My practice has grown one patient at a time, from referrals from our own patients, other dentists and physicians for which I am grateful on a daily basis as I take this as my highest compliment. Dr. Landau began his artistic interests when he was very young. His grandmother was a prolific sculptor working in clay & wood & he would spend significant time with her developing the skills that she would teach him. He also spent years working with his father in the family’s wood shop designing & building furniture, turning vases & anything else that they could imagine. His father also taught him the art of photography both with the camera & in the darkroom. As his father’s “real job” was a clinical microbiologist and medical school professor, Dr. Landau saw first hand how science and art could be combined into a profession that he has become so passionate about. Dr. Landau earned his dental degree from Northwestern University dental school. He then completed a General Practice Residency at the prestigious Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago where he trained under some of the most well know dentists, periodontists and oral surgeons in the country today. He was a continuous student after the completion of his residency where he continued his training in cosmetic, implant and reconstructive dentistry and studied with some of the foremost experts in these fields. As a result, he has developed a specialization for these procedures and has a reputation for great expertise in these areas.
