About Mark J. Connelly, DDS
Dr. Connelly graduated from Wayne State University in 1979 with a Bachelor degree in pharmacy. The next 4 years he worked as a pharmacist as he attended the University of Michigan dental school where he graduated in 1983. St. Johns became his home in 1984. An avid student, Dr. Connelly has continued his studies with the Academy of General Dentistry. After completing over 1100 hours of continuing education in all facets of general dentistry and passing a rigorous 400 question exam, he was awarded Mastership in 2006, an honor less than 2% of general dentist attain. Interested in pharmacology and the beneficial effects it has for his patients, Dr. Connelly attended Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2002 for IV sedation training. In 2006 he was awarded Mastership in the college of sedation in Dentistry after passing a comprehensive examination and completing the educational requirements. Dr. Connelly has spent time in Guadalajara Mexico and Managua Nicaragua doing implant surgery. He has a mastership in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. It is the largest Dental Implant Organization and is dedicated to the Advancement & training of professionals in the field of dental implants. He currently lives in Dewitt and his wife is a psychologist at MSU. They have 4 children and a granddaughter. Hobbies include, reading, exercise and watching his sons play baseball.
