About Macare E. Lumbrezer, DDS
Macare Lumbrezer is a 2008 graduate of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. She graduated Cum Laude from Hope College in 2003, earning a double bachelors degree in both Chemistry and Spanish. During dental school, Macare was a member of the Jonathon B. Taft volunteer society, the American Student Dental Association, and the Christian Dental Association. She also gained special recognition for her high scores on the National Board of Dental Exams and the Bunting Award for Excellence in Periodontics. Currently, she is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, Michigan Dental Association, Resort District Dental Society, and the local Pankey Study Club. She regularly donates her time to those in need through the Traverse Health Clinic,and was part of the first Heaven D.E.N.T. weekend which provided dentures for many people who could not afford them. Dr. Macare is a Pankey trained dentist and has invested much time into continued education at the Pankey Institute which focuses on patient centered dentistry. Pankey trained dentists have the reputation of being well trained in positive behavorial influence, occlusion, functional aesthetic dentistry, and complex diagnosis and treatment planning. Dr. Macare is the fourth generation of dentists in the Kelly family, all of whom graduated from University of Michigan. She finds it especially rewarding caring for patients that have been seen by her father and grandfather and is committed to carrying on their tradition of excellence in dentistry. In her spare time, Dr. Macare enjoys cooking with her husband, taking walks downtown, chasing her kids around the house, and distance running. She is happy to spend much of the summertime on the water with friends and family. She and her husband, Dustin, and their three children, Quinn, Blaise, and Juliet live in Traverse City.
