About Luke J. Schwartz, DMD
Dr. Luke Schwartz grew up in Fredericksburg, VA as the middle of five children in a primarily health care family. After graduating from Woodberry Forest School, a boarding school in Central Virginia, Dr. Schwartz set his sights on pursuing the field of dentistry. Dr. Schwartz graduated with a B.S. in Biophysics from Wake Forest University, where he served as vice president of the Pre-Dental Student Association. Immediately following college, Dr. Schwartz attended Temple University-Kornberg School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, where he graduated with a Doctorate in Dental Medicine. Dr. Schwartz completed a hospital residency at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, where he served as the chief resident of the Department of Dentistry. During his residency, Dr. Schwartz served as the primary dental care provider for a diverse set of patient groups, including: the medically complex, patients undergoing head and neck cancer treatment, special-needs patients, cleft lip & palate patients, as well as dental emergency & trauma patients. Dr. Schwartz is trained and certified in Invisalign® orthodontic treatment. He is committed to providing his patients with the highest quality of care by using the lastest advancements in dentistry. He has chosen to further continue his education in comprehensive restorative & cosmetic dentistry at The Pankey Institute. Dr. Schwartz lives in Washington, DC. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking and getting outdoors, as well as collecting vinyl records. Dr. Schwartz likes to get outside to play golf, but admits he is much more skilled at cooking new dishes than driving a golf ball down the fairway. And though his allegiance is with the Carolina Panthers in football, Dr. Schwartz is ready to cheer on the Washington Capitals and Nationals in his new hometown.
