About Lauren Malitz, DDS
Dr. Lauren Malitz was born and raised in Huffman, Texas, about an hour northeast of Houston. After graduating from Texas, A&M University in 2003 with a degree in Biomedical Science, She followed in her father's footsteps to the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston, where she graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 2007. She spent many years working in her father's dental office, both before and after becoming a dentist herself, and there is where she learned valuable knowledge about the field of dentistry and the importance of treating patients with compassion and respect. Click here to read more about Dr. Malitz Lauren and her husband, Ryan, moved to San Antonio in 2009, and she soon began working with Advanced Dental Associates. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, particularly finding aesthetic solutions that help make patients smile, and is currently interested in helping patients with sleep apnea. Dr. Malitz holds memberships with the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, San Antonio District Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and is a member of Spear Education and Study Club, which provides relevant continuing education for today’s practicing dentist. Dr. Malitz delicately juggles her time between being a wife, mom to her 3 children, a practicing dentist, and a community volunteer. She is actively involved in the San Antonio community and volunteers her (extra) time with the Junior League of San Antonio, St. Luke's Lutheran Healthcare Ministries, and her children's schools. In her spare time, she enjoys CrossFit and is an avid competitive water skier. Most weekends you will find her spending time with her family out at the ski lake, unless she is cheering on her daughters at a softball game or gymnastics meet. She holds memberships with the ADA, TDA, San Antonio District Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. When not in the office treating patients, Dr. Malitz is busy with her husband, Ryan, and two daughters, Olivia and Elise. She enjoys waterskiing, running, and going to the beach.
