About Laura C. Mackey, DMD
Dr. Laura Mackey attended both Dartmouth College and Vassar College where she graduated in 1980. She then attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and received her doctorate in 1984. Instead of going back to New York City, where she is from, she was accepted into a General Practice Residency Program at the York Hospital in York, PA. She settled in Downingtown and worked two days each week instructing dental students at the University of Pennsylvania. After working in a group practice for 10 years, Dr. Mackey branched out into her own practice in 1996. Dr. Mackey has been a member of the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, and the Chester/Delaware County Dental Association for over 25 years. She attends the annual meeting of the American Dental Association each year, as well as numerous education courses to keep current in techniques and materials.
