About Kathy L. Basmajian, DDS
Dr. Kathy Basmajian’s practice philosophy is to treat every patient like family. Each person is evaluated and presented with treatment recommendations customized to their specific hygiene and restorative needs and desires. Dr. Basmajian strives to provide high quality care that is conservative and appropriate while achieving and maintaining a natural esthetic. Dr. Basmajian was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. After graduating from UCLA, she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in 1983. Dr. Basmajian is a member of the West Los Angeles Dental Society, The California Dental Association and the American Dental Association. Her inclination for a career in dentistry began as a child with both her grandmothers teaching her a love of various “handiworks” including embroidery, sewing, needlepoint and quilting. These skills along with enjoying Art History Appreciation courses at UCLA made the art of dentistry an ideal profession. Dr. Kathy Basmajian and Todd, her husband of over 30 years, have three adult children and their family is growing through marriage. In her spare time, Dr. Basmajian can be found sipping coffee and reading, doing Pilates, singing or greeting people with her bright white smile at Journey of Faith or spending time with family and friends. She is an avid UCLA Bruin basketball and Los Angeles Dodger fan.
