About Kamyar Hekmat, DDS
Dr. Kamyar Hekmat has been in private practice since 1987, maintaining offices over the years in Santa Monica, Los Angeles, and Westwood. As a General Dental practitioner, Dr. Hekmat has extensive experience in all areas of dentistry including Implants, Restorations, Cosmetic Crowns and Fillings, Root Canals, and Gum Treatments. Dr. Hekmat received his Bachelors Degree from New York University in 1980, where he was honored to receive the Founders’ Day Award for Excellence in Academic Achievement. He received his Masters Degree in Neurophysiology from UCLA in 1982 and graduated from USC’s School of Dentistry in 1986. In 2008, Dr. Hekmat was awarded the Paul K. Hill Memorial Award for Excellence in Root Canal Treatments by USC’s School of Dentistry. Active in the community he practices and lives in, Dr. Hekmat has been a past president of a City of Hope fundraising chapter, was an honored recipient of the Volunteer of the Year Award from the UCLA Rehabilitation Center, and is an enthusiastic soccer coach and referee for the Palisades and Beverly Hills AYSO regions.
