About Joseph Difazio, DMD
After completing prosthodontics training at world-renowned Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Dr. Joseph DiFazio completed an additional year there in maxillofacial prosthetics. (Today he is one of only about 350 maxillofacial prosthodontists worldwide.) With over 35 years in practice and over 30 years as a clinical assitant professor at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, Dr. DiFazio’s experience in prosthodontics is unsurpassed in the area. He is also among the first dental implantologists in the area, has been repeatedly named one of America’s Top Dentists (Prosthodontist) by the Consumer Research Council of America, and continues to teach leading-edge techniques to dentists from around the globe. “I chose to become a dentist because I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives. And the fact is that, for many people with complex or challenging oral or dental problems, making that difference often requires specialized dental care. I pursued a career in the prosthodontic specialty so that I could help people whose dental needs demanded complex methods, more intensive labor and more focused skills. I enjoy dealing with the complexities of reconstructive and esthetic dentistry. I enjoy the combination of art and science that is involved in providing exquisite results. However, what drives me most of all are compassion and commitment. “Caring is why I became a dentist. And more than 30 years later, it’s the hallmark of my prosthodontics practice and my reputation. Because I truly care, there is no option for me but to offer comprehensive prosthodontic servicesfor my patients”.
