About John W. Sinclair, DDS
Dr. John Sinclair, DDS has been in practice for over 22 years and has a dental office in Petaluma, CA. He is a graduate of the award winning dental program at University California San Francisco. He was chosen from a large pool of candidates for the honor to not only to attend but complete all his dental training at this prestigious university. This is a rare accomplishment in the industry and in 1989 he completed his training and began his practice. John began his professional career as a social worker. Here he worked closely with special needs children for over 10 years – where he credits developing the beginning of his warm, calming “chair-side” manner. He wished to expand his education and shift his direction and coincidentally was getting a lot of dental work himself at the time. He formed a close friendship with his dentist and became instantly fascinated by all aspects of the industry especially the idea of caring for the health and well-being of patients. He decided to begin his new career immediately. This was truly an inspired and very natural transition for John as he had found an industry that would allow him to keep working one-on-one with people, get to know and create lasting relationships and take good care of them. John practices general, cosmetic and children’s dentistry because of his background he developed a unique patience and understanding for his clients and has what they call, “a very comforting and heartfelt concern for their well being and experience in the chair.” He loves the fact that he deals with a wide range of dentistry patients in his practice. His greatest joy is helping people, seeing their smile improve and help improve their overall health and life. His philosophy is to look at the entire state of health of each patient and how his work can support that. His clients constantly comment on how comfortable they are at appointments and enjoy their visits.
