About John K. Leung, DDS
Dr. Leung graduated magna cum laude, along with other honors, from New York University with a B.A. in Biology in 1982. With his love for the outdoors, sports, and the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area, he decided to move west and attended UCSF Dental School. Skiing powder snow up in Lake Tahoe, windsurfing in the SF Bay, and playing outdoor tennis are a few of the much appreciated contrasts to the traffic jams, cold winters, and cement jungle of New York City. Upon finishing his Doctor of Dental Surgery program, he was elected to the National Dental Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon, of which he remains a current member. He furthered his study in the General Practice Residency program at Mt. Zion Hopsital, and became the Dental Director of North East Medical Services the following year. To improve upon his administrative skills, he later completed a Master of Business Administration program at SFSU. For over a decade, he worked as an Assistant Clinical Professor for the post-doctoral Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at UCSF, and maintained medical staf membership at both UCSF and Mt. Zion Hospitals. Presently, Dr. Leung is in private practice in Burlingame and San Francisco.
