About Jc Mccomb, DDS
Dr. McComb grew up near Richmond’s Pony Pasture, in Stratford Hills. He attended Huguenot High School and played football, baseball and wrestled. He received his undergraduate degree in biology from Randolph Macon College and then completed his dental training at the Medical College of Virginia. He started his practice in 1977 as the first ‘downtown dentist’ in more than fifteen years and then opened his west end office in 1991 in order to give the families of his downtown practice easier access. Dr. Stewart became part of his practice in 2002 and they divide their time between both offices, sometimes working together and sometimes apart. Dr. McComb belongs to several dental organizations including the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association and Richmond Dental Societies. He and his wife, Joyce, who is often at the front desk, have worked together for more than 30 years. Both give their time at the Mechanicsville Free Dental Clinic. When not working they enjoy four granddaughters and spend their time golfing in Richmond, Wintergreen and Fort Myers, Florida. Dr. McComb has spent his career taking the fear out of dentistry and making his patients as comfortable as possible. He is empathetic to each patient and cares about their needs. He has surrounded himself with a perfect team to achieve these objectives.
