About Herbert L. Saint Jean, DDS
Dr. Herbert Ludwig Saint Jean is a graduate of New York University College of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2006. Prior to this, he received a dental degree with honors at the State University of Haiti. He completed an AEGD residency and fellowship at the University of Connecticut Health Center. Dr. Saint Jean also earned a master’s degree in Public Health from the School of Medicine and Community Health at the University of Connecticut Health Center in 2003. Dr. Saint Jean is a Board Certified General Dentist who emphasizes preventive dentistry and education. Dr. Saint Jean is experienced in all aspects of family restorative and cosmetic dentistry such as bonding, crown and bridge, veneers, root canal treatment, dental extractions, periodontal disease treatment and management and dental implants for which he went through extensive training; He is also licensed to provide care under conscious sedation and has been a preferred certified Invisalign provider since 2009. Dr. Saint Jean’s breadth of expertise in performing both emergent dentistry and elective procedures while serving a diverse variety of patients has given him the confidence to understand how he can address his patients needs. Dr. Saint Jean believes in putting patient’s health first, and will work with other specialties to help patients achieve their ultimate dental goals. Greatly dedicated to continuing dental education, Dr. Saint Jean completes about 70 hours of continuing education every year. He was awarded the prestigious Fellowship Award from the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) in June 2015 in recognition of his commitment to providing exceptional patient care. He is currently working on his associate Fellowship in Implant dentistry from the AAID which is one of the most recognizable designations within the dental profession. Dr. Saint Jean is very dedicated to serving and helping his community both near and far. He has been volunteering with Bethesda Medical Mission in Haiti since 2010 to provide free dental care once a week in his native country. In addition, he also volunteers with Mission of Mercy a North Carolina organization providing free medical and dental care to the uninsured and those who “fall through the cracks” in our healthcare system.
