About Grant Tesmer, DDS
Dr. Grant Tesmer is a graduate of Creighton University School of Dentistry located in Omaha, NE where he completed training in all aspects of general dentistry including an emphasis on cosmetics and oral surgery. Upon graduating, he sought more education involving dental implants and completed the American Academy of Implant Dentistry’s Chicago MaxiCourse fellowship during his senior year of school. Dr. Tesmer grew up in a household where serving people for the greater good came naturally as both of his parents were in the healthcare field. He pursued dentistry because he noticed that the patient experience in the dental chair was one of the most important in providing the best care possible. He wanted to help build confidence in patient lives and allow their voices to be heard and acknowledged so there was no miscommunication along the way. Dr. Tesmer believes that serving those to the best of his ability means taking time to build trust and finding solutions to make them have a happier and healthier life. The experience he had during his dental mission trip to the Dominican Republic solidified how creating a beautiful smile not only changes a patient’s outlook on life but can have an immense impact that goes deeper than what the eyes can see. Dr. Tesmer loves what he does and hopes to continue to pass on what he was taught by his parents at a young age: Serve others before yourself. Dr. Tesmer’s Nebraskan upbringing kept him in the Midwest ever since he was 5 years old and now he has brought his talents to Charlotte! Dr. Tesmer is the youngest of four siblings where swinging a tennis racquet at a young age was no surprise. He played Division 1 College Tennis so you might find him at a local public court bringing him back to his old roots - he’ll lace up his shoes and take on whatever you can bring! He enjoys traveling, rafting at the White Water Center, finding new music, and watching Husker football. He is proud to represent Ballantyne Center For Dentistry and looks forward to providing the best care possible to those in need.
