About Gordon Roeder, DMD
Dr. Gordon Roeder’s parents taught him that you can do anything you want in life if you work hard enough and you’re smart enough. Dr. Gordon Roeder wanted to be a dentist. He worked his way through the Lehigh Valley School System and went on to attend the notable liberal arts school, Juniata College. He went to Temple University for dental school and did a general practice residency program at Sacred Heart Hospital. And then, so he could cater to patients suffering from dental anxiety, he completed the University of Pittsburgh Medical & Dental School Anesthesiology training program. In the last 30 years, he’s completed more than 4,000 hours of advanced dentistry training. Although he’s practiced dentistry in the area since 1988, he opened a state-of-the-art dental office, Dream-Dentistry & Sleep Care, in Quakertown, Pennsylvania in 2000. From the very start of his career, he’s always been focused on using the latest advances in technology to improve his patients’ dental experiences. He’s always had a computerized dental office and was a part of the first wave of dentists to embrace digital X-rays in 1999 to reduce your exposure to radiation and gain better insights into your dental health. In 2005, Dr. Roeder was diagnosed with severe obstructive sleep apnea. He and his wife quickly realized his CPAP machine was almost as disruptive as his sleep apnea. He thought there must be a better way. Dr. Roeder then went on to get trained by the best and licensed in sleep care. His motto is, “I will not do for you what I would not do for myself.” He then treated his own severe sleep apnea with an oral appliance, became so passionate about it, and now offers oral appliances as a solution to obstructive sleep apnea for all his patients of need. He’s done all of this while maintaining a fun, upbeat personality and building a team of dental professionals who smile almost as much as our patients do. He loves a good smile-related joke and goes out of his way to make his patients feel special. When he’s not at the office, he’s spending time with his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and his two sons, Deven and Derek. He enjoys doing landscaping and construction around the house, spending time outdoors, and playing with his grandchildren.
