About Gerard J. Makhoul, DMD
Dr. Gerard J. Makhoul obtained a Bachelor of Science degree after completing his Pre-Dental/Pre-Med program at Fordham University in 1982. He went on to obtain his DMD degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Makhoul treats patients of all ages (3 years and up). He makes not only the dental health but the overall health of each individual patient his top priority. Patients are guaranteed a personable visit in a comfortable setting, treating them like people and not numbers on a chart. Dr. Gerard Makhoul has been practicing for 31 years in both New York and New Jersey. He grew up in Brooklyn, New York and moved to North Bergen, New Jersey 27 years ago.Dr. Makhoul currently lives with his wife and 2 beautiful children. His daughter is a teacher, and his son is an accountant. In his free time, Gerard enjoys yoga, pilates, playing golf and physical fitness. He also loves going to the beach and sitting by the ocean. Dr. Makhoul enjoys all types of music and going to concerts. When he has time, Gerard also enjoys watching and attending sporting events, traveling with his family (especially to Disney and Universal in Orlando every year), old TV shows, movies, science fiction and superhero films and shows. Dr. Makhoul belongs to St. Gabriel's Church, where he and his family regularly attend service. You may also find that Dr. Makhoul participates in the Hillsdale Volunteer Fire Department Fundraiser annually, as well as local school fundraisers.
