About Firas Belbeisi, DDS
I get asked all the time, “What made you want to do dentistry?” Well, for starters, my father is a dentist and I absolutely loved going into his practice with him after school, and on weekends. So not only do my earliest memories have a lot to do with dentistry, but I gain new experiences, memories, and bonds every day with people I’m privileged to get to know and treat. I believe that helping people improve their oral health and smile has a huge impact on their overall health, confidence, and happiness. That’s why I do this. Because making people happy makes me happy. I was born and raised in Ann Arbor and I definitely bleed “Blue”. I graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in 2005 and I went on to get my Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Detroit Mercy in 2010. I have done my best to keep up with lots of continuing education to help provide my patients with the most recent knowledge that will help us decide together what is best for them. From seminars in different states and countries, to multiple day courses at universities and schools of dentistry, I love participating and learning, because it’s true: knowledge is power. Because I value the ability to provide my patients with a sense of dental community and representation, I am a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. When I’m away from the practice I love being with my friends and family. They mean the world to me. Laughing is my favorite activity. They say it keeps you young and helps you lose weight, so it’s a win-win for me! Soccer games on the weekends and bonfires at night are what I enjoy doing most, but as long as we’re having fun I’m open to any activity.
