About Esther B. Jeong, DDS
Dr. Esther Jeong was born in Seoul, Korea, but was raised in America. Her father was in the United States Army so she has lived and traveled all over the U.S while she was growing up. In fact, she has been to all 48 continental states in the United States with Hawaii and Alaska being the only ones she has not visited! Dr. Jeong attended Andrews University in Berrien Springs, MI where she received studied biology and minored in chemistry and religion. She later attended Loma Linda University School of Dentistry where she graduated with her Doctorate in Dental Surgery. After finishing dental school, she moved to Texas with her husband, Tony, and her five children--Dawn, Jade, Hope, Drew and Soul. They are excited to call Texas their home. Though Dr. Jeong is a general dentist, she has been an associate of Dr. Brian Hochstein, a pediatric dentist, for the past four years. Now she has ventured out from under his wing to begin her own practice where both children and adults can both come for all their dental needs. Dr. Jeong maintains memberships with the American Dental Association, Dallas County Dental Society, Texas Dental Association and National Association of Seventh-day Adventist Dentists. When asked why Dr. Jeong chose to go into the dental field her response was: ""I chose dentistry to be able to serve the community and also have a career that would allow me to have a healthy family life."" Though Dr. Jeong's passion is dentistry, she has many other hobbies and enjoys being involved with her church where her husband is a pastor. Tony is a pastor at the New Life Korean Seventh-day Adventist Church and Dr. Jeong serves as a youth lay pastor. Serving the community and volunteering are very important to Dr. Jeong. Over the years she has done numerous missionary work in Belize, Honduras, Korea, and Bangladesh. She has also volunteered stateside at Pathways to Health events in San Antonio and Ft. Worth and in dental school she volunteered by visiting elementary schools and AIDS/HIV clinics. She enjoys being active by playing sports like soccer, softball, and volleyball. She also has a hidden talent when it comes to playing the guitar. Because Dr. Jeong has grown up traveling all over the United States, she still finds joy in it. She is actively seeking out new places to visit and experiences that bring her out of her comfort zone.
