Elisabeth de Gaust, DDS, a partner in Sutter Terrace Dental Group, focuses her practice and compassion on treating every age group towards lifelong dental health, through all aspects of general dentistry. With the best in diagnostic and educational tools, Dr de Gaust will use intra-and extra oral photography, diagnostic casts and digital x-ray imaging to plan your treatment needs and all your options will easily be reviewed and explained. Your treatment and comfort will always be performed in a conscientious and caring manner. Committed to providing the highest standard of care, with 15+ years of international clinical experience, Dr de Gaust is dedicated to continuing post graduate education to incorporate the latest advances in techniques and procedures, through travelling across the nation and abroad to learn from the leading edge educators. Locally she participates in Sacramento study clubs where local dentists and specialists team up on a regular basis to discuss the treatment of challenging cases. Dr de Gaust is a graduate of the SIC mini-residency in implant placement and restoration. Dr de Gaust is an active member of national and local dental organizations such as the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the Sacramento District Dental Society. Dr de Gaust has a special place in her heart for children and is a regular participant in the nationwide Give Kids a Smile program providing free dental care to underserved children in our community. Dr de Gaust also works with the school district providing free dental screenings for Head Start children. She has also volunteered her dental services through The Rotary Doctor Bank organization where medical professionals provide care for the inhabitants of underserved rural communities in Kenya. Dr de Gaust was born and raised in Gothenburg, Sweden. She graduated with a degree in Chemistry from the Sven Erikson College in 1990. Thereafter she attended five years of dental school at the Karolinska Institute of Medicine and Odontology, the Nobel Prize nomination institute in Stockholm, Sweden, where she graduated with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree in 1998. Throughout her education she was active as a Math tutor and as a Board Member of the International Student Exchange Program as well as a Board Member and Coach with the Student Sports Swim Program. Dr de Gaust lives in El Dorado with her husband Andrew and their three boys. They enjoy many outdoor activities including hiking, biking, camping and skiing.
