About Daniel Schmid, DMD
Dr. Daniel Schmid is an Arizona native, born and raised in the valley of the sun. He has been around dentistry his whole life as he spent a lot of time in his father’s dental practice, even helping out during high school summer breaks. After graduating from Sunrise Mountain High School he started working as a dental assistant with his father and continued to work with him through college. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Science from Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ. During that time he married Jeannie, his high school sweetheart, and they started their family. Dr. Schmid continued at Midwestern University in the College of Dental Medicine where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. Since graduating, Dr. Schmid has been employed as an associate dentist and has spent some time working with a mobile clinic helping children in underserved communities. He is currently a captain and dentist in the United States Army Reserves where he strives to give back to our country. Dr. Schmid is a member of the Central Arizona Dental Society (CADS), the Arizona State Dental Associates (AZDA), and the American Dental Association (ADA). Dr. Schmid and his wife Jeannie are blessed with five children, Autumn, Gabriel, Aubrey, and twins Elijah and Ava. Most of his time when not working is spent enjoying his family. During his free time he loves to draw and enjoys reading science fiction and fantasy novels. Dr. Schmid is excited to join Dr. Critchfield and his team and be able to partner with them in taking care of and getting to know every patient. He is compassionate about providing the best for his patients. We look forward to what the future will bring.
