About Barry R. Perlman, DMD
Dr. Barry R. Perlman received his degree in Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. While serving in the United States Army, Dr. Perlman was a captain in the dental corps and received extensive training in all facets of dentistry. The U.S. Army paid his way through dental school in exchange for a 3-year commitment. To be chosen for this program was extremely competitive. After receiving his DMD degree, he served as a Dental Officer for two years in Fort Sill and one year at Fort Monmouth. Dr. Perlman is passionate about seeing his patients improve their overall appearance and self-confidence through their smiles. He has been practicing for over 30 years and is a member of the American Dental Association, the New Jersey Dental Association, and the Monmouth-Ocean County Dental Society. Dr. Perlman has three grown sons who have followed in their father's footsteps in the medical profession. Dr. Perlman is a professional singer who performs in the band Touch of Class. On many occasions, Dr. Perlman has sung to his patients upon request. He is known as “The Singing Dentist”! He is also an avid tennis player and swimmer.
