About Barry Freydberg, DDS
Dr. Freydberg’s hails from Chicagoland where he has practiced with the same partners for well over 40 years. This year, he was again voted by his peers as one of the Top Dentists in Chicagoland and he was also recognized by Dentistry Today for more than 20 years, as one of the top Dental Educators in the world. He still practices in Skokie part-time under the name of Webster Dental, where he takes care of his long-time patients. He has been active in organized dentistry and especially in educating dentists throughout the world on various dental disciplines. We are especially pleased to be able to take advantage of his experience, knowledge, and education in dental sleep medicine here in the Valley. Dr. Barry Freydberg a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Dentistry. Now, transitioning to Arizona, he practices Dental Sleep Medicine, treating patients with sleep disorders such as Sleep Apnea and Snoring. Dr. Freydberg is a Diplomate of the American Sleep and Breathing Academy and is Qualified by the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Freydberg has lectured extensively in North America and Internationally at dental meetings and universities on the subjects of sleep apnea and snoring treatment, conservative cosmetic dentistry, and the use of technology to provide better dental care. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the local dental associations and is also a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, a Fellow of the International College of Dentists, a Fellow of the American College of Dentists and a Fellow of the International Academy for Dental-Facial Esthetics, and a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and the American Sleep and Breathing Academy. He is also a member of the Alpha Omega International Fraternal Organization. In 2004, Dr. Freydberg received the Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Illinois. In February 2009, the Chicago Dental Society awarded Dr. Freydberg the Gordon Christensen Lecture Recognition Award for his outstanding teaching contributions over the years. Dr. Freydberg, an active member of the Chicago Dental Society, was the 2002 Program Chairman for the Chicago Midwinter Meeting that drew over 31,000 attendees Dr. Freydberg has 6 children and 6 grandchildren. His wife Marla is a practicing nurse. His hobbies are golf, bicycling, travel and photography, good food and reluctantly exercise. He enjoys just “hanging out” with his family and friends.
