About Ashmita Shetty, DDS
Dr Ashmita Shetty has an aesthetically oriented dental practice. She has been practicing family and aesthetic dentistry in California after passing her California Dental Board Examinations in 1999.Dr. Shetty was born in Manipal, India and raised in Muscat, Oman. She completed her undergraduate studies and earned her bachelors degree at the College Of Dental Surgery, Manipal in 1994. She has over 13 years of experience in a wide range of dental procedures having practiced with leading general and cosmetic dentists here locally in the bay area and around the world. Over the years she has spent hundreds of hours in seminars, study clubs and other continuing education courses in order to stay current on advances in the field. Dr. Shetty has been known for her meticulous attention to detail and her light and gentle touch. She has cared for individuals of all ages from a child’s initial visit to an adult’s complex mouth restorative care. She especially enjoys interacting and treating children, kids have a special place in her heart and she has spent numerous hours volunteering her services at the Santa Clara County Children’s Dental Health Initiative Program. Ashmita Shetty lives in San Jose with her husband and 8 year old son. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, sculpting and hiking. She values spending time with her large and closely knit family here and abroad and involves herself in many community events. Dr Shetty’s passion for dentistry combined with her caring and nurturing personality enables her to approach each patient on an individual basis and provide a very personalized experience.
