About Andrew Farkas, DDS
Dr. Andrew Farkas is a native Houstonian and founded Northshore Dental in 2001. He graduated from The University of Texas Health Science Center School of Dentistry at Houston, Texas and completed a one year residency certificate program of Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD). Dr. Farkas was raised in the area and has been practicing dentistry in our Northshore community for more than twenty-three years. He continually researches and implements available technologies for optimum patient dental health, completing 570 hours of continuing education in the past two years. This tremendous investment in himself as a practitioner and his dental practice are the reason Northshore Dental is a premier hybrid-practice in Houston, providing general and advanced dentistry by same provider in one convenient location. Dr. Farkas is changing the quality of life for his patients with dental implant treatments; completing hundreds of cases in his practice. He completed an accredited 300 hour AAID, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry course at Loma Linda University in California. The program is designed to fulfill the continuing education requirement of the Associate Fellow member process of the highly regarded AAID organization. This implantology specialist program provides a thorough understanding of diagnostic and treatment modalities necessary to properly treat patients with dental implants. His implant dentistry skills include: dental implant placement for a single tooth, multiple teeth, full arch, all-on-four, sinus / gum / bone grafting, sinus augmentation; all with oral sedation administration. Dr. Farkas has been married for twenty-five years to his wife Karen, who is not only his high school sweetheart, but also the architect and builder of Northshore Dental and Evanston Court complex. When not working, this duo enjoys world-wide travel, great food and wine with a dash of architectural site seeing for good measure. As life-long athletes, they both participate in competitive masters swimming.
