About Ting-Wey Yen
Ting Wey-Yen, DDS, MS, FACP, was born in Taiwan, raised in Africa and is bilingual in both English and Chinese Mandarin. He obtained his BA from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1981. Dr. Yen graduated with honors in 1985 from Northwestern University Dental School, Chicago, Illinois and then continued with four more years of specialty training in prosthodontics, implants, dental oncology, and maxillofacial prosthetics in Texas. Recognized by the American Board of Prosthodontics to be the youngest prosthodontist to become board-certified, Dr. Yen is also an elected fellow of both the American College of Prosthodontics and the American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics. Dr. Yen has taught at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in the Advanced Prosthodontics program and was previously Director of the Implant/Prosthodontics Study Club of the Harbor Dental Society. He has also been associate editor of the Journal of Prosthodontics, the national journal of the American College of Prosthodontists. Dr. Yen has been published in the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, and has lectured nationally and internationally at numerous dental societies and schools. He is currently a member of the American Dental Association and the California Dental Association and the American College of Prosthodontists.
