About Robert F. Perler, DDS
Nothing says quality and attention to detail like a dentist with years of experience in his field. Both can be found with Dr. Robert Perler. Dr. Perler began his career at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where he received his bachelor degree of science in biology. He followed that up with his master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at the same institution. And just because that wasn’t enough to practice dentistry, he completed his education at the New York University College of Dentistry to become a dentistry practitioner. Dr. Perler completed his residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Perler brings his specialized education and experience to every patient and treatment plan. It is his goal to effectively treat every case with a combination of conservative dentistry and engineering. It is his belief that conservative, when possible, yields the best outcome for the patient and his or her future dental health. While he focuses on conservative methods first, Dr. Perler is nothing if not an innovator and will often use his knowledge of engineering and up to date technology to create the treatment plan needed for his patients. It’s not all work and no play with Dr. Perler. Some interesting facts about him include that he has commercial, private, and instrument licenses in general aviation and has used this talent to raise money for charitable organizations. Dr. Perler also heads the Norman Brooks Award, a scholarship at the Albert Leonard Middle School in New Rochelle, NY that benefits gifted music students, as well as supporting the Masai tribe in Kenya with free toothbrushes and other dental hygiene supplies with the help of Proctor and Gamble. He is also the proud father of three sons, all with music specialties in addition to their successful careers. Obviously, his good works and successful sons are Dr. Perler’s claim to fame, but it’s impossible not to note that before Dr. Perler became Dr. Perler, he spend time at the original Woodstock in 1969.
