About Robert Grillo, DMD
Dr. Grillo was born and raised in the South End of Hartford but has strong ties to South Windsor. His parents operated Lucian’s Restaurant where he frequently worked and learned firsthand the meaning of customer service. Dr. Grillo attended Georgetown University where he majored in chemistry and minored in mathematics. He attained his D.M.D at the UCONN School of Dental Medicine. He has completed thousands of hours of continuing education at the finest institutes in the country. He is an active alumni member of the L.D. Pankey Institute, one of the most advanced post- doctoral educations centers in the world. He was an early pioneer in the use of porcelain veneers and implant restorations. He is a member of the Connecticut Dental Association, the Hartford Dental Society, The American Prosthodontic Society, and The Academy of Sports Dentistry as well as the South Windsor Historical Society, The Chamber of Commerce and the South Windsor Lions Club. He also volunteers as an expert witness for the State Health Department. The doctor has lived in South Windsor for 30 years with his high school sweetheart, Bernadette. They have three children who are all pursuing advanced degrees in health care. Dr. Grillo has coached youth tee ball, soccer, baseball, softball and football and is team dentist for the South Windsor Bobcat Football Team. His hobbies are cooking, sports and travel.
