About Rick Ostler, DMD
He was born and raised in the Rocky Mountains in Provo, UT which is home to Sundance Ski Resort, Brigham Young University (BYU), “Seven Habits of Highly Successful People”, and (among dentists) the most famous dentist in America–Dr. Gordon Christensen and his research facility. He attended Brigham Young University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology. He then attended the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in Lexington where he earned his dental degree (DMD) in 2002. Prior to opening this office, Dr. Ostler gained extensive experience in multiple offices in all general phases of dentistry including significant training in pediatric dentistry while working in south Phoenix. He has advanced training and a state certification in Conscious Sedation Dentistry. He strives to provide comfortable care for all ages. Dr. Ostler is happily married to his wife Cindy and they are the parents of two great sons. His oldest son has Asperger’s Syndrome which is part of the Autism Spectrum Disorders. As a result, Dr. Ostler has an understanding of how to work with children with autism. He also has experience working with children and adults with Down’s Syndrome. His hobbies and interests include basketball, family time, and church service. Most of all, he enjoys being a dad and a husband and spending time with his family. Dr. Ostler’s priority is his patient’s comfort, peace of mind, and satisfaction. He offers a wide variety of dental services, always in the context of making sure that each patient feels relaxed, informed, and understood. When patients come to his office, he and his staff try to make sure that there are no judgments, no lectures, and virtually no pain.
