About Renuka Hari, Aesthetician Specialist
I'm Renuka Hari, a Licensed Massage Therapist practicing in the city of Charlotte, NC. I'm also Board Certified at National level by NCBTMB. I've been practicing massage therapy for 10 years now and in 2015, I got my Esthetician license to practice skincare. Passing the National Examination and being a Board Certified therapist was a personal goal of mine. I did it to show my commitment to the field of massage and to uphold higher standards required of such therapists, both in knowledge and practice. Combining massage therapy and skincare will allow Santulan to offer more for its clients and help make services even more customized & special. For me, this means learning as well as putting into practice such diverse modalities like Ayurvedic, Deep Tissue, Pre & Post Natal, gentle Myofascial Release, Cranio-Sacral & energy work like Reiki & Chakra Balancing. Having lost both my parents to cancer made me quite determined to get certified in Oncology Massage to help people with cancer. I'm also listed as a Preferred Practitioner with S4OM - Society for Oncology Massage. My practice "" Santulan"" which means Balance in India's ancient Sanskrit language, strives to bring about a much needed balance within the body through massage therapy. It is a practice geared primarily for women to help them achieve goals for health and wellness by finding the balance between work, life and relaxation. And treating yourself to a massage is a beautiful and effective way to bring about the balance needed to a body from the inside, which is then reflected on the outside. Even my approach to facial skincare is more like therapy for skin, reflecting caring from inside out. As to why I do what I do? While trying to recover from an auto accident some years back, it was massage therapy that got me moving again. It was not surprising that massage therapy came to mind when I decided to pursue a different career at that time. Also, I must mention that practicing massage runs in my family. I remember my grandmother using her ""healing touch"" along with her knowledge of traditional Indian herbal medicine called Ayurveda, Chakras and diet to help others feel better. Today I get guidance from my aunt who is quite knowledgeable in these traditions. Now in my 10th year of following this path of massage as a form of therapy, I feel that learning never really ends. There's always more to learn everyday, thanks to my dear clients & family who encourage me always. I'm now giving back all that I've learned and that feels wonderful!
