About Ray Nunnery, DDS
Dr. Ray Nunnery has been practicing in Walnut Creek since 1989 and has enjoyed being a part of this community while providing excellent service to patients of all ages. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1988 at the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF) where he also earned a Bachelors degree in Dental Science. Dr. Nunnery earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology at San Diego State University in 1984. Dr. Nunnery has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education in a wide variety of dental procedures including cosmetic dentistry, preventive dentistry, periodontics, children's dentistry, crowns, bridges, whitening,veneers, and implant dentistry. He has been certified in the restoration of multiple implant systems and enjoys helping patients achieve optimum oral health. Dr. Nunnery has been a member of the Contra Costa Dental Society, California Dental Association and the American Dental Association since graduation from dental school. He currently serves on the Diablo Valley College School of Dental Assisting's Dental Advisory Board, and is a member of the Roundhill Implant Study Group. Dr.Nunnery has donated his time and skills to the Sealants and Smile program which goes into underpriviledged schools and performed screening exams and preventive services for elementary aged school children. His office takes part in the Just One program which has provided dental services for children in need within Contra Costa County. Dr. Nunnery grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia, but on a vacation to California as a teenager, he fell in love with the west coast. Upon graduating from high school, he moved to San Diego, California. Dr. Nunnery is married and has two children.
