About Nita H. Largoza, DMD
Dr. Nita H. Largoza has been practicing dentistry in San Diego since 1992, and for the Chula Vista community since 1997, along with her dedicated team. A native of Nabua, Camarines Sur, Philippines, she graduated as a Doctor of Dental Medicine at Centro Escolar University in Manila before becoming a Board certified dentist in California and establishing her practice. Over the years, Dr. Largoza has been highly involved in numerous professional organizations, including serving as President of the San Diego Academy of General Dentistry, Co-Chair of the Academy of General Dentistry’s Local Advisory Committee, Board Member and President of the Association of Filipino Dentists San Diego County, and President of the Centro Escolar University Dental Alumni Association. Dr. Largoza’s hard work has earned her multiple industry distinctions, including becoming a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry their highest honor and achievement--in 2010. She has also been voted by her peers as one of San Diego’s “topDentists” for San Diego Magazine. In her commitment to providing high quality care in a relationship-based practice, Dr. Largoza dedicates herself to understanding her patients’ needs and exceeding their expectations. Believing in the value of continuing education to ensure advancements in the field are available to all her patients, she has studied at the Pankey Institute’s Advanced Dental Training--a highly acclaimed postgraduate dental education program that provides focus courses and continuum levels for clinical excellence in dental practice. She also regularly attends the California Dental Association’s annual CDA Presents convention with her staff. Outside of work, Dr. Largoza has volunteered her time to various dental missions both at home in the United States and abroad in Mexico and the Philippines. She has collaborated on notable causes such as the San Diego Filipino Dentists Association and CEU Dental Alumni Association’s cleft palate and cleft lip surgeries, as well as having chaired and supported annual relief efforts for the Philippine Mission of Hope & Mercy, which performs the process of improving smiles for the youth (denture impressions, tooth extractions, etc.) in addition to donating food, supplying eyeglasses, and building homes for the impoverished.
