About Megan J. Schlichte, MD
Hailing from Sugar Land, Texas, Dr. Megan Schlichte attended Saint Agnes Academy in Houston and graduated valedictorian of her high school class. She pursued her undergraduate studies at the University of Notre Dame, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Glynn Family Honors Program, and was elected to the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa honor society. She could not stay away from Texas for long, however, and returned to Houston for medical school at Baylor College of Medicine, where she was the recipient of the Houston Global Health Collaborative Award for her commitment to indigent medical care, selected as a national Semi-Finalist for the Tylenol Future Care Scholarship, and was nominated for the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society for academic excellence. Upon graduation from medical school, Dr. Schlichte completed her internship at Houston Methodist Hospital, and was selected as the program’s resident liaison to the Board of Graduate Medical Education. She returned to Baylor College of Medicine for Dermatology Residency, where she provided exceptional dermatologic care at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Hospital, Texas Children’s Hospital, Ben Taub General Hospital, and the Pavilion for Women, among others, while after hours continued her research pursuits and ongoing efforts to provide medical care to the underserved. A member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Texas Dermatological Society, Harris County Medical Society, Houston Dermatological Society, and Women’s Dermatologic Society, Dr. Schlichte is committed to staying on the cutting edge of advances in the field so that she can provide the highest quality of care to her patients. She has authored numerous publications, with particular focus on psoriasis, eczema, skin infections, allergic contact dermatitis, pediatric dermatology, cosmetic/procedural dermatology, and skin cancer. In her free time, Dr. Schlichte enjoys relaxing with her family and friends, swimming, college football, and live music.
