About Mary A. Stefanyszyn, MD
Dr. Mary Stefanyszyn earned her Bachelor’s degree in Natural Science from University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA, and her medical degree from Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA. She continued her training with an internship at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, followed by both residency and an ASOPRS oculoplastic and orbital surgery fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital. She then did a separate ophthalmic pathology fellowship at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Washington, DC. She then went on to a fellowship in Orbital and Lacrimal Surgery, Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, England. Additionally, she is affiliated with Lankenau Hospital, Pennsylvania Hospital, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, and Wills Eye Institute. Active in various professional organizations, Dr. Mary Stefanyszyn has been recognized throughout her career with many honors and awards, including Fellow American College of Surgeons, American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, American Board of Ophthalmology, Fellow American Academy of Ophthalmology, Diplomate of National Board of Medical Examiners. In addition, she is a member of the Annual Wills Eye Conference Committee, International Society for Orbital Disorders, and Harvard Medical School Alumni Council.
