About Mary E. Larijani, MD
Mary Larijani M.D. is a Dermatologist who specializes in adult and pediatric medical dermatology, surgical dermatology, and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Larijani grew up in Villanova, Pa., and attended Radnor High School. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience with a minor in Gender and Health, graduating with Honors from the University of Michigan. She then returned to the Philadelphia area to receive her medical degree at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Throughout her medical training, she maintained distinction at the top of her class, and was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha National Honor Medical Society. Additionally, she was awarded the American Dermatologic Association’s Medical Student Fellowship and the American Skin Association Medical Student Grant for her participation in melanoma research. Dr. Larijani completed her intern year at Lankenau Medical Center in Wynnewood, Pa. She then completed her dermatology training at Drexel University and Thomas Jefferson University. As a resident physician, she became involved in clinical research relating to skin cancer among organ transplant recipients, with a specific focus on skin of color. She presented this research at several national meetings and received awards for her work. She has authored several peer-reviewed journal articles and textbook chapters. Dr. Larijani is a current member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, the Society for Pediatric Dermatology, and the Women’s Dermatology Society. A native of the Philadelphia suburbs, Dr. Larijani is excited to return home and provide care to members of the community where she grew up.
