About Maria C. Chila, DMD
Maria Chila, D.M.D., FAGD is a general dentist who has been practicing dentistry for over 25 years. Dr. Chila has an extensive background in all disciplines of clinical dentistry for adults and children, as well as expertise in providing dental care to a wide spectrum of people with health related issues. Dr. Chila is a well-respected clinician with a reputation of delivering the latest dental procedures with quality and care. Dr. Chila has a strong background in a variety of areas including aesthetic adult services, treating dental phobics, special needs patients and medically compromised patients. Dr. Chila earned her dental degree from Temple University School of Dentistry in 1985. After graduation, she was accepted into a General Practice Residency program at the Medical College of Pennsylvania (MCP) where she continued advanced dental training. On completion of her residency program she remained at MCP as a practicing attending while also maintaining a private practice in Philadelphia. Dr. Chila is also a past Adjunct Associate Professor of Oral Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. In 1995, Dr. Chila received her Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD). This award recognizes her dedication and perseverance in delivering consistently high quality dentistry to her patients. Dr. Chila continues to be an active student of dentistry by dedicating many hours a year to continuing dental education classes.
