About Lisa N. Kang, MD

Dr. Lisa Kang is the co-founder and co-owner of Serenity MedSpa in downtown San Francisco, California. Dr. Kang was born in South Korea and immigrated to the Bay Area with her family when she was nine years old. She attended the University of California, Berkeley, as an undergraduate, and earned degrees in both biochemistry and music. She continued her studies at George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. where she received her M.D. degree. Dr. Kang furthered her training at the University of California Davis-East Bay Program (now called the University of California San Francisco-East Bay Program) where she completed her general surgery residency program. For several years after her surgical training, Dr. Kang ran a successful private practice in San Francisco with her brother, Dr. David Kang, as a board-certified general surgeon. In 2006, she and her brother founded Serenity MedSpa. Since then, Dr. Kang has wholly focused her practice on noninvasive and minimally invasive cosmetic procedures for the face and body. The brother-sister team quickly became leaders in the field of aesthetics, dedicating themselves full-time to researching the safest, most innovative and advanced cosmetic and dermatologic procedures available. As a result, Serenity MedSpa has become a trusted destination for clients seeking a variety of aesthetic solutions. Dr. Lisa Kang and Dr. David Kang personally administer the treatments so clients can ensure they receive the safest and most effective treatments under physician supervision.
