About Lee N. Wiggins, DDS
I'm the most blessed person I know. For 34 years now, I have had the sincere privilege of being involved in a field that I have always found challenging, exciting, and deeply meaningful. Every day I interact with the greatest patients in the world and do the things I love to do while working with a team that is second to none in a fun, relaxing environment. Who could ask for more? We get to help people by taking away their pain, reducing their anxieties and fears about treatment, and making them feel better. Each of my team members loves what they are doing and wouldn't change it for the world. The cumulative dental experience they have is over 100 years. Together, we provide excellent personalized, gentle dental treatment using all of the latest technology. We also foster great long-term oral health and well-being by actively promoting the importance of prevention through good daily habits and diet. I hold Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, and Doctorate of Dental Surgery degrees from the University of California at San Francisco. I completed my General Practice Residency at Keesler Air Force Base in 1980. I strongly believe in the benefits of continuing education and its importance to both professionals and patients; it is the only way to enable those in my field to be ready to offer the wealth of treatments afforded today’s patients made possible by the continual advancements of science and my profession. Consequently, I attend monthly and yearly seminars, regularly take courses, and am also a long time member of the Seattle Study Club and the Spear Study Club. I was born in Sacramento. As a child, my family and I moved to Tule Lake, CA, and Arlington, WA before moving back to Sacramento. My wife and I have been married for over 40 years. This is a beautiful area in which to live and it was a wonderful area in which to raise our two daughters and son. They have given us five fantastic grandchildren. Our family spends a great deal of time at the coast north of San Francisco. We enjoy the water, fishing, sea food and the cool weather during the hot Sacramento Summers. Some of my favorite things to do in my spare time include photography, fishing, camping, hiking, traveling, and reading. As a highly-skilled professional, I value opportunities that allow me to contribute my skills in ways that meaningfully add to the health and well-being of others. I am a both a member and past president of the Rotary Club of Foothill–Highlands, as well as, a member and the longest-standing board member of Health Teams International. For over 25 years, I have also participated in yearly dental-medical missions assisting those in need in countries that have included Cambodia, Philippines, Cameroon, Ghana, India, China, and Mexico. My wife and I have brought our children up to serve in our community through church, schools, and other organizations. Our family tries to be a positive influence in our world. As our grandchildren are getting to school age and participate in their world, we hope that they too will become active in making this a better place.
