About Laura J. Schott, DDS
Dr. Laura Schott was born in Mobile, Alabama and grew up in Katy, Texas. She received her undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University and went to the University of Texas School of Dentistry where she earned her DDS. When she was in dental school she was a member of the Texas Association of Woman Dentists, American Student Dental Association, and Psi Omega Dental Fraternity. She graduated dental school at the top of her class and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society. She is currently a member of the American Dental Association, the Greater Houston Dental Society, Texas Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry. In 2014 Dr. Schott was nominated for Texas New Dentist of the Year. When Dr. Schott isn’t bettering the oral health of the Cypress community she enjoys hanging out with her husband Matt, their new baby Lincoln, and their Vizsla, Molly. She also enjoys reading and watching college football, allowing a friendly debate with her husband whether the Aggies or the Longhorns are the better team. Dr. Schott chose to practice general dentistry because of the opportunity to have lifelong relationships with her patients. Building these relationships and providing the optimum patient experience is her focus everyday. She loves to gain more knowledge of the dental field through continuing education classes, which she participates in on a monthly basis.
