About Kathleen Gilmore, DMD
Dr. Gilmore was born in Newark, NJ. She entered into dentistry over 30 years ago as a dental assistant while a junior in High School. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree at Rutgers University and received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from UMDNJ. She fulfilled a year long dental internship at Morristown Memorial Hospital, receiving a residency diploma from Columbia University. In 2004, Dr. Gilmore achieved her dream of opening a state of the art dental office in Newark, built from the ground up. Dr. Gilmore took on a new project in 2012, renovating a home/office built in 1885 in Bloomfield. Dr. Gilmore has practiced general dentistry at this location since November 2014. She is excited for both new and current patients to be a part of this endeavor. She has been blessed to reach out to those less fortunate by performing charity dental treatment in both the US and abroad, in the jungle of Peru and the city of Curitiba in Brazil. Dr. Gilmore is an exercise enthusiast enjoying running, biking, hiking and yoga. Cooking is a passion she takes joy in sharing with her family and friends. As a mother of 2, she enjoys spending time with her daughters.
