About Joseph Akhikar, DMD
Dr. Joseph Akhikar graduated from Boston university school of dental medicine with High Honors. Dr. Akhikar completed the post graduate study and residency program in advanced education in general dentistry earning the Best Clinical Performance Award. He was awarded Diplomat of the American Dental Implant Association, and Diplomat of the International Congress of Oral Implantologist. He is the recipient of several awards and distinctions. He is an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Chicago Dental Society and many more. He is the recipient of American Top Dentist award 2009, 2010, and 2011. Dr. Joseph Akhikar has lived in the Chicago area since 2007. He feels strongly that there is no greater reward than improving the quality of someone’s life, and helping them to feel confident and happy with their healthy smile. In his spare time, Dr. Akhikar enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing soccer, and traveling.
