About Joel Whiteman, DDS
Dr. Joel Whiteman grew up in the San Fernando Valley just north of Los Angeles. He attended UCLA and received a Bachelors degree in molecular biology and continued on to UCLA School of Dentistry where he received awards in Prosthodontics, Periodontics and Community Service. Following graduation, Dr. Joel received additional training in general dentistry at the Veterans Administration Abulatory Care Center in southern California. While at the VA hospital, Dr. Joel gained experience in treating many patients and a wide variety of complex cases including cosmetics and implants. In addition, Dr Joel was able to learn many techniques to help people who are fearful and anxious. Dr. Joel proudly serves in the U.S. military as a dentist in the Army Reserves. Dr. Joel and Dr. Kristy met and married while in dental school. They moved to Sacramento after finishing school to be closer to Dr. Kristy’s family. In their spare time they enjoy cooking and sharing the company of friends and family. Dr. Joel is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association and the Sacramento District Dental Society.
