Having been raised in Katy, Dr. Stephenson is privileged to be serving patients in the greater Katy area. Dr. Stephenson is Board Certified and practices full-time in Katy. He primarily operates at Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital, Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Katy, and Methodist West Houston Hospital. He cares for both adults and children, and his practice encompasses both hand and plastic surgery using the latest surgical techniques. Dr. Stephenson is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, and the Texas Medical Association. After graduating from Taylor High School, Dr. Stephenson attended the University of Texas at Austin where he obtained degrees in Mathematics and Economics in addition to pursuing his Pre-Med coursework. He returned to the Texas Medical Center and earned both his Medical Degree and a Certification in Bioethics at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Stephenson briefly left his Texas roots to attend residency in the Department of Plastic Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin. It was there that Dr. Stephenson met Dr. Das. After six years of intense training with an emphasis in complex reconstruction, he returned to Baylor to complete an additional combined orthopedic and plastic surgery hand fellowship. During his training he devoted a year to basic science research, the results of which were presented at national meetings, published in prestigious journals, and received multiple awards. Combined with an award-winning background in drawing, painting, and sculpture, this extensive training has given him the necessary knowledge and skill to address both the functional and aesthetic demands of the specialty. Dr. Stephenson primarily focuses on hand surgery and reconstructive plastic surgery. Dr. Stephenson, his wife, and children are grateful to be a part of the community where he was raised.
