About Gary A. Gilbert, DDS
Dr. Gilbert has been married to Elaine (Shellman) Gilbert since 1973. They have three children; Jason, John and Carrie Gilbert Mullica D.D.S. who joined the practice in 2002. Dr. Gilbert was raised in Harrison Township. He graduated from Austin Catholic Prep High School. He then attended the University of Detroit for his undergraduate studies and went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Detroit Dental School in 1975. Dr. Gilbert is a member of the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association and the Macomb Dental Society. Continuing education has taken Dr. Gilbert to many parts of the country, where he keeps current with advances in dentistry, including cosmetic dentistry, endodontics, and implant restoration. He has over thirty years of experience in general dentistry. The practice has been at this same location since 1975. In his spare time, Dr. Gilbert enjoys outdoor activities including, hunting, fishing and archery. He has been an active member of Gilberts Sportsman's Club, where he runs several archery leagues. He is also a member of Michigan Bow hunters, MUCC, Ducks Unlimited, and Pheasants Forever, which help to preserve wildlife habitat.
