Dr. Edward M. Piña is a Double Board Certified Surgeon, Certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. He attended Texas Tech University and received his B.S in Biology in 1985. He then went on to the University of Texas Medical School in Houston where he received his M.D degree in 1989.He did his residency at the prestigious Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City where he trained in General Surgery and received the distinguished Leon Ginsberg Award for outstanding Chief Resident. He then returned to Houston and has gained experience for the past 20 years in advanced Laparoscopic and Bariatric surgery. In 2008, he also attended a 1 year AACS fellowship under the tutelage of Dr. Jim English in Little Rock, Arkansas, where he performed over 800 cosmetic procedures in his training year alone. He is a member of numerous medical and surgical professional associations and serves as a proctor for other surgeons. Dr. Edward M.
